TriOrb Completes Series B Second Close, Raising an Additional JPY 300 Million; Cumulative Funding Reaches JPY 4.53 Billion
TriOrb Inc. has completed the second close of its Series B round, raising an additional JPY 300 million through a combination of third-party allotment and debt financing. Together with the JPY 2.88 billion raised at first close, cumulative funding now reaches JPY 4.53 billion.
The equity portion was subscribed by Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Toyota Tsusho Corporation, alongside debt financing from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC).
The new capital will further accelerate the initiatives begun at first close—driving mass production of TriOrb BASE toward full market deployment, expanding business in the U.S. market, and scaling the organization. Together with Toyota Tsusho, TriOrb will advance the deployment of TriOrb BASE on manufacturing floors and build a new production model whose line configuration can be reconfigured freely, with an eye to global rollout. JBIC’s investment—made under its startup investment strategy to support the global expansion of Japanese startups—will help anchor TriOrb’s global growth around its newly opened U.S. base.
