TriOrb to Exhibit at the Kyushu Automotive Technology Trade Fair in Kariya (February 5–6)

We are excited to announce that TriOrb will be exhibiting at the Kyushu Automotive Technology Trade Fair in Kariya, which will be held on February 5 (Monday) and February 6 (Tuesday), 2024, at the Kariya Industrial Promotion Center.

At this event, we will showcase our innovative TriOrb BASE, a ball-driven omnidirectional autonomous mobility platform that replaces traditional wheels with spherical drive units.

The TriOrb BASE offers precise, millimeter-level omnidirectional movement, with a low-profile and compact design (494mm x 494mm x 148mm). Despite its small size, it boasts exceptional durability, able to navigate obstacles such as 60mm grooves, 15mm steps, and 1/6 incline slopes, while supporting loads of over 300kg.

Our autonomous mobility software, developed in-house, can be fully customized to meet the specific needs of our clients. The software is also compatible with ROS, allowing clients to utilize intermediate data for further customization. This versatility enables the creation of tailored robotic systems that can adapt to a wide range of applications and environments.

Manufacturing environments, particularly in automotive production plants, are often characterized by narrow aisles and uneven floors, making the deployment of AGVs or AMRs challenging. Traditional robots often reach operational limits in such environments, but the high-performance mobility of TriOrb BASE overcomes these hurdles. In addition to single-unit robot applications, we are also developing a collaborative control system that enables multiple robots to work together on tasks. This system allows for a flexible production and transport process that doesn’t rely on cranes or forklifts, offering a revolutionary approach to automation in manufacturing.

At the trade fair, we will conduct live demonstrations of TriOrb BASE, showcasing its movement precision and capabilities. We invite you to visit our booth and experience the technology firsthand.
