We are pleased to announce that TriOrb will be exhibiting at the 8th RoboDEX – Robot Development & Application Expo, part of Factory Innovation Week 2024.

The event will take place from January 24 (Wednesday) to January 26 (Friday), 2024, at Tokyo Big Sight. At our booth, we will showcase the latest version of our ball-driven omnidirectional autonomous mobility platform, TriOrb BASE, which utilizes a spherical drive mechanism instead of traditional wheels. TriOrb BASE serves as a versatile high-performance mobility platform for various robotic applications and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).

Since our last exhibition, we have upgraded our autonomous mobility software, and this new version will be demonstrated live during the event. The TriOrb BASE platform offers precise millimeter-level omnidirectional movement, while maintaining a low-profile, compact design (494mm x 494mm x 148mm). Despite its size, it can handle grooves up to 60mm, steps of 15mm, inclines of up to 1/6, and supports loads of over 300kg.

Our proprietary autonomous mobility software is fully customizable and can be provided as a one-stop solution. It is also compatible with ROS, enabling the use of intermediate data for further customization by clients, allowing them to tailor robotic systems to suit their specific environments and applications.

At the exhibition, we will demonstrate the platform’s advanced mobility features, as well as our Visual SLAM technology, which simultaneously estimates self-location and maps the surrounding environment using camera footage. We will also showcase path planning capabilities, as well as AI-based human and obstacle detection systems, and ultrasonic sensor-based obstacle detection and stop programs for enhanced safety control. In addition to live demos, we will provide video captures and other visual aids to give attendees a detailed understanding of our technology’s precision and performance.
